Co Motion Youth Film Festival

Festival Production Assistant & Workshop Facilitator
Collaboration with Triceann Rural Arts,
Westmeath County Council & Arts Council Of Ireland 2007/2008

Co-Motion Film Festival, based in the Irish Midlands, provided a platform for talented young film makers to express themselves and share what they do. Co-Motion believes in film as a powerful medium for young people to giving them a voice.

Ireland's next generation of filmmakers descended upon Belvedere House for screenings, to develop ideas & take inspiration from other directors. It was for people between 10 - 18, who made their own films or had been part of a community film project.

Youth Film is a growing sector in the arts as film making becomes more accessible to young people owing to the digital revolution of the last few years. A series of workshops also ran alongside the festival for the participants. The festival was free of charge, had a series of awards selected by a professional jury as well as an audience pick award on the day.
