From Ashes

The local landscape here is filled with Duns & Raths, places that if you are living here you might take for granted. But these places are filled with mystery & wonder. Aishling has "Drawn Up" references to this reservoir of visual culture that we are all steeped in. Stars, spirals and flower forms re-emerge within her pieces as if arriving independently themselves with the artist as a channel. Presences filter through.

- Sean O Dwyer From Ashes opening Speech

This collection of work was completed over two years and marks Aishling's first serious exploration of painting as a medium. It represents and tells the tales of a transformative internal shift. It is the learning of the development process of how Aishling connects with paints as a medium, which serves to connects the artists inner world with a newly informed outer representation of it.
