Glacial Melt

A land in constant flux and reinvention. With cascading waterfalls and rivers, glacial melt waters, lagoons of icebergs, receding icecaps and volcano's all contributing to surreal, dramatic changes within its spatial formation. The debris of the landscape, the sediment of melt and scars of movement, revealing its past and simultaneous future in this the earths newest and most rapidly changing landmass.

Pointing a lens on this experience required deep listening, adapting myself to her pace, tuning in to dialogue while bowing to the raw, majestic, and otherworldly authority that she commands. Kept on my toes, reactive and responsive to her climate, moved to tears in awe of her beauty, overseen by her immense power and humbled by her serene presence. For she is both king and queen, where all it takes is one false move, a mere moment lacking respect before the reminder is served of who is in charge.

With scenes changing by the second, minute, hour, day, week, month, season and year.
The energies of transformation within its terrain, palpable, an immensely profound environment. Sharing with man its breath, its life, its growth and devastation, painted so vividly through its array of colors, textures, light and expressions. Iceland
